Assistant/Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry as the Psychiatry Clerkship Director.

Responsibilities will include direct patient care, teaching and supervising medical students and psychiatry residents, providing administrative support, and performing scholarly activities. Teaching will concentrate on General Psychiatry, mentoring learners, and providing quality care to patients.
Administrative duties include directing educational activities for the Psychiatry Clerkship for third year medical students as well as advising for third and fourth year medical students. Additional teaching activities may also involve contact with first and second year medical students, participation on committees within the department and the SOM, curriculum preparation and/or revision, lectures, conference presentations, publications and development of new service lines. Although scholarly activities are usually independent, support and guidance by senior departmental faculty will be provided.
Rank and salary commensurate with qualifications and experience. Hiring is contingent upon obtaining a medical license in the State of Tennessee. Applications will be considered as received. Position will remain open until filled.
