Infectious Disease specialist to join an employed multispecialty group.

The focus will be on providing both inpatient and outpatient services. The ideal candidate will be patient-focused and have a demonstrated track record of providing compassionate and expert health care. Approximately 8-9 hours per week would be dedicated to the role of Medical Director of Infection Prevention.

Flexible schedule options available- will consider full and part-time candidates.

This position will be joining a team of three physicians who treat patients in a judgment-free environment that respects all cultures, races, religions, sexual orientations, and lifestyle choices.

Current team of ID physicians see both inpatients and outpatients with a variety of medical conditions including HIV, tick-borne diseases, cancer-related complications, and occasional tropical and travel-related diseases. While the practice is based out of a community hospital, we offer modern therapies such as fecal microbial transplantation, wound care, HCV treatment and HIV care supported by a local HIV support organization with Ryan White funding.

ICU is staffed by intensivists, with a significantly lower mortality than the national average.
