Details:
- Member of the Department of Surgery,
- Provide care and share call responsibilities
- Leadership and administrative duties for the health system
- The Trauma service is combined with the Acute Care General Surgery Service.
- As a Level II Trauma Center there is always a surgeon in-house, with a backup surgeon on call.
Clinical duties include:
- In-house coverage of the Trauma/acute care surgery service
- Back up call coverage shared with other members of the trauma team
- Response to Trauma alerts in the Emergency Department
- Oversight of the Trauma/acute care surgery APP’s, who provide 24/7 in-house coverage
- Staffing coverage of a post-discharge trauma clinic
Position Requirements:
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine as demonstrated by a doctorate degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine, having completed an accredited residency in General Surgery, with a fellowship in Trauma/Critical Care.
- Must be Board Certified or Board eligible, and licensed or eligible for licensure as a physician in Pennsylvania.
- Demonstrated experience managing clinical and operational challenges of a Trauma program.
- ACLS, ATLS and BLS certification through American Heart Association.
