Details:

• Member of the Department of Surgery,
• Provide care and share call responsibilities
• Leadership and administrative duties for the health system
• The Trauma service is combined with the Acute Care General Surgery Service.     
• As a Level II Trauma Center there is always a surgeon in-house, with a backup surgeon on call. 

Clinical duties include:

• In-house coverage of the Trauma/acute care surgery service
• Back up call coverage shared with other members of the trauma team
• Response to Trauma alerts in the Emergency Department
• Oversight of the Trauma/acute care surgery APP’s, who provide 24/7 in-house coverage
• Staffing coverage of a post-discharge trauma clinic

Position Requirements:

• Must be a graduate of an accredited school of medicine as demonstrated by a doctorate degree in medicine or osteopathic medicine, having completed an accredited residency in General Surgery, with a fellowship in Trauma/Critical Care.
• Must be Board Certified or Board eligible, and licensed or eligible for licensure as a physician in Pennsylvania.
• Demonstrated experience managing clinical and operational challenges of a Trauma program.
• ACLS, ATLS and BLS certification through American Heart Association.
