The draw area serves a population of 75,000 to 100,000 which includes southwestern Virginia and southeastern Kentucky. There is a local 10-physician primary care network to supply patient referrals. This expansive service area of Southwest Virginia and Southeastern Kentucky holds huge potential.
Our goal is to find a general surgeon who shares the same philosophy as us in being able to accommodate our patients at home and not transfer them out of the area for their care. General bread & butter surgery experience and advanced laparoscopic skills required. Minimally invasive skills a plus.
The hospital has expressed a large amount of flexibility to fit the needs of the new physician. If board-eligible, board certification must be completed within five years of completion of residency for all candidates.
